involvement of EGFR-PTK in H2O2-induced signaling has been obtained by utilizing AG 1478, a specific inhibitor of tyrosine kinase activity of the EGFR (Table 1) (31).AG 1478 attenuated H2O2-induced ERK1/2 phosphorylation in VSMCs (32) and in rat cardiomyocytes and fibroblasts (30), but had no effect on p38 MAPK phosphorylation (32).
